the reason
this past week has been full of personal ups and downs including deaths of past friends and amazing opportunities with new ones. but i wanted to share one of my "ups".
after posting the father's day gift pictures of Lauren on tuesday night, i was reminded of why i have a passion for photography. some of you may know that i currently have a day job as a graphic designer. well, Lauren's mother Brie works right down the hall from me and as i was designing away on wednesday morning, i received a knock knock on my cubicle "wall". i quickly took off my headphones, turned around and saw Brie standing there with tears in her eyes saying "thank you, thank you so much...i just can't believe that's my daughter!" "i love them so much...thank you, thank you." this meant more to me than Brie will ever know.
this is the entire reason why i do this. you may have read, that for me, it's about the image...not about me. i truly believe this creativity is a gift from God and if i can use it to bless...and lift someone's life as Brie's was...then i've done my job.
thank you Brie for the reminder and i'm so happy that you loved your photos of precious Lauren.

I am sure that was such a great feeling to make her happy. She will not be the last.
Those types of moments are inspiring and really grounding. Capturing memories that others will love for a lifetime. Great post! //enoch
