lifted: leah & will in love: 05.24.09
Leah. Leah is my baby sister. Will. Will is my baby brother in law. Together they are Leah & Will. Ok, lame intro but whatever. This post is special to me for a couple of reasons... 1. it is my sister... and 2. their wedding was the first wedding I ever shot... with no aspirations of being a wedding photographer at the time.
A couple of years ago, Leah & Will tied the knot in a very small and intimate ceremony at our family friends' beach house backyard when I was handed a Canon Digital Rebel, set to "Auto", and was told to take pictures...by my mom. :) You can read more of the story here but basically, it was from that single event that got me thinking a few months later that maybe I'd like to be a professional wedding photographer. Boom.
So, fast-forward, two years later, Leah & Will are having vow-renewal/reception this Summer and so we did an "in love" session with these two characters. We had a lot of fun in Dana Point Harbor and it was Leah's idea to get in the water. You'll notice the last photo they are actually IN the water but that's in our parent's back yard pool. :)

lifted: tawnia & michael: wedding 02.14.09
Yes, I shot this wedding on Valentines Day and it was sooo much fun that I was sad when Tawnia & Michael drove away and my job was done. You may remember this beautiful couple from their engagement session a few months ago when I spoke about their awesome love story and how stoked I was to shoot their wedding. Well, they delivered, the weather delivered and the party D-livered! So much to say about that day but I'll just leave it to the images... which, by the way... there's A LOT of them - the most I've ever posted in one blog post. This may take awhile to load...
Also want to thank my awesome team, Blake & Alissa of Beamish Photography! I love these guys and we always have fun shooting together. I think I'll post some of THEIR outtakes from this wedding sometime soon. They crack me up.
